How to Avoid Greenwashing

Some companies and some labels will describe their product as organic or carbon neutral. This makes it seem more environmentally friendly but doesn't actually mean anything. Some symbols and images that are associated with environmentalism, such as leaves or the recycling symbol, can be used to make products appear more environmentally friendly. To avoid being misled by green washing, it is important to be able to identify it when you see it.
