The Downstream Effects of Ignoring Scale Scores in Growth Models
There are different ways of computing these scores from a factor-based model. In an IRT kind of framework, there EAPS and MAPS in a factor analytic continuous is their regression based scores. And we thank Scrondle and Locke 20 years ago for scaring the living crap out of us because the best score that you can obtain depends upon how you're going to use it in a later model. So right now they're already two very cool methodological possibilities here.
