Gravity is sort of a hybrid design. So we wanted to achieve the same security as i b c, but we wanted to do it on ethereum. As long as etheorium is still proof of work, this is extremely difficult. Every gravity bridge validator runs a light client or a full note for the etherium block chain that they then use to observe the state of Etheria and make claims about it.
This week, Anna chats with Deborah Simpier and Justin Kilpatrick, co-founders of Althea and the team working on Gravity Bridge. They start with the history of the Althea project and how they aim to build an open marketplace for independent entities to create their own ISPs, providing bandwidth to users in under-connected areas.
