The Rise of Reenactments in Crime Documentaries
"Ermouris" was more of an exploration of how do you get to the truth rather than a titillating aesthetic experiment. He wasn't saying that I'm reenacting these things because I don't have any archival material to show, and so I'm going to shoot some bullshit with actors to cover it. Reenactments have now become the way that you just find a visual way of communicating and illustrating a moment for an audience.
