The Idea of Pakistan
Pakistan is an acronym, B for Punjab, A for Afghan, K for Kashmir, S for Sind and Tan from Palochistan. All regions of colonial India that had large communities of Muslims. Pakistan also refers to its meaning is the land of the pure, which was deliberately coined to counter the Hindu claim that Muslims polluted their sense of caste.
