What Happened to Haig?
At his arrest, he never mentioned the drinking blood episode. So this all seems to be cooked up in the weeks after the arrest. The urine seems to have appeared while he was in the condensed cell at One's Worth prison. Judge Donned his black cap as we did in those days before capital punishment was stopped in England. It was actually more like a black cloth and Haig thought this extremely amusing. He said to someone after the trial that the judge looked like a sheep looking out from under a rhubarb leaf. Well, I don't know how funny he found it at the time, but that was rather sort of classic Haig. That was by hanging then up to 1965
