How to Balance Values-Driven Journalism and Journalism
As a war correspondent and somebody who now leads a media organization trying to cover this conflict, two different instincts are both important and valid. How do you balance that? I don't want to place the Russian atrocities on the same level as Ukrainian missteeds, which obviously do exist. The fact of the matter is that when you tell human stories, there's an obvious demand from people who are undergoing a difficult situation as it is an obvious call for a solution.
