Petersen: A larger portion of our daily behavior are reflexive, as opposed to reflective. And so that means what happens to you in the environment actually drives your reflective behaviours. It's really the way the ancient brain, the brain that was put together over many, many, many millennia, which is extremely reflective and capable of very intelligent, interesting things to do.
