The Importance of Professional Development for Managers
A co-worker is not a relationship status. It's a label. You've got to get to know your co-workers. If you want to just be able to tell people when to show up and what to do, you're in the wrong job. Go back to being an individual contributor. Do not manage other people. Don't subject other people to your brand of management because that's not being a manager. And no one just wakes up one day and is like, aha, I'm a manager, right?
