Is There a Pluralistic Approach to Parenting?

In Kibbut systems, one method that was used was to say that you can have people whose role it is to produce children. You find this replicated in some societies in Africa. Do those systems look preferable to the way things are at the moment? A pluralist when it comes to parenting, I think there are a lot of different parenting styles. Some people are big fans of like communal parenting. And I think that communal parenting could be good for some children.
