The History of Pessimism

Prophecy is the desire to predict the far distant future, wher knowledge is absolutely going to have an impact. We call prophecy for a reason, ignoring possible solutions because they can't be imagined. That is the history of pessimism for the last few centuries. People are the problem, not the solution. Things are only going to get worse. I could be wrong about this. However, all the signs are that i'm not something like that.
