What's the Heyday of a Thinker?
A lot of these thought leaders had their hey day in the periiod from, like tooth out from conomics. The whole point is to advance an ideology of sort of a that's almost like mediaeval scholastics. And you can become a minor celebrity, and your job is to basically be interesting in an economy where interestingness and contrarianism are largely conflated. I feel like we've all had different encounters with these kinds of big idea books, these thought leaders.
