Children whose families were forced to leave following the destruction of their homes more likely to have a large increase in long run labor earnings and education. If you are moving into an economy which requires a certain sort of dynamism, you are going to be able to act as an individual in an individualist sort of society. And i think partially, the icelandic example requires people to move into a community that's getting ready to take advantage of all o the traits that are created by mobility.
