How to Ground Test a Hypersonic Vehicle
We want to ground test before we flight test because when we flight testing is extremely expensive and it's hazardous. So how do we ground test a hypersonic vehicle? Very creatively would be the answer. Even if I can get to the Mach number, I'm not getting to the temperatures. Many of these art jets are basically rocket engines blowing onto your test article.
