Is Your Model Portfolio the Vanguard of Hedge Funds?

We want people to look at our strategies and say, i can make this an allication as part of my model portfolio. And then there's no noise the next five years. Because what happens in the liquid all the world is they say, ah, oh, i just found some great guy. But he under performed everybody else by 15 or 20%. Sof adviser, you're building a model portfolio that's a nightmare for you. You've got this five % allocation, and you're sitting across from your clients and saying, i thought you guys told me this guy was the best guy in th space, and now he's the worst guy in the space.
