i've had times where i'm about to start recording, and i just start faffing around with microphones and audio. It actually prevents me from recording an episode. Just being able to change the routine can be quite, quite nice. So we thought it might be fun for you to try and teach me a bit of german,. Or at least try and get me to say some words or phrases in german. E a ha, ha. Shall we rit go ahead over to you? You are now my german teacher.

Talking to another runner-up from last year's listener competition. Robin from Hamburg had a big setback in his learning of English, but worked hard to overcome it. We talk about his English learning trajectory, and ramble about German language & culture, his podcast for learners of German, podcasting microphones and then Robin teaches me some German words which are difficult to pronounce.
