In May of 2022, California approved $4.1 billion for new and existing community schools in California. Abe Fernandez: There's a lot of buzz right now about California. He says the money will roll out over the next seven years to more than 250 districts in California. And if this works out in California, there's a real opportunity for the community school model to spread across the country.
