The Importance of Money in the Christian Tradition
The virtues that govern the use of money within the Christian tradition do provide the security that the bourgeois spirit longs for in money. They just don't provide it in that same way, he says. It becomes a fruit of the Catholic pursuit of some other good and not the actual good being pursued. The church most fundamentally like other Christians who love us and want to take care of us.
