The Effects of Brain Stimulation on Phantasia

Joel Pearson is a Professor of Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of Cambridge. He says that by stimulating the visual cortex, we could increase or increase the strength of people's mental imagery. The next stage in his research is to find people with phantasia who previously had the ability to see images but then lost it. They may have more control over them and be less likely to suffer potential negative effects.
