How to Write a First Person Story

First Person is a great way to get the voice of your character right. You can do scenes that would be boring from third person perspective and make them exciting simply by using character voice. It's one of the great advantages of first person, but I think the the folly is that what brain brought, brie brought out is it can be too tempting to go into those lapses for huge periods of time.
