Is There a Causal Separation Between Whatness and Awareness?

If it's right that my brain is a model of my experienced and lived world then there will be architectural features that are copied from the world. So for example the symmetry of my brain tells me immediately that I have a symmetrical body in the sense that the most important bits of the outside world beyond the skull are going to be the body that you used to carry your brain around. We could go further and if you told me that certain parts of the brain activated or got excited by or processed information about where things were than would tell me something quite fundamental about the world that you came from or your brain came from. Yeah I think that's a very important notion.
