How to Create a Culture in Remote Communication
You have to choose more than one modality so you can't always text with people. It doesn't work for every kind of remote communication and because it's just so bland, it takes a while. Having video interaction is important to try and get some of that feeling of being almost in the same room. Just sticking only to text is a bit impersonal but having said that there are companies that do it in a myriad of ways.
