Christopher Hitchens and Robert Conquest were very close friends. They disagreed on a lot of things, but their friendship helped shape the way they wrote engines. The idea was that like, it was carrying on if you want to sort of say, the threat of Orwell - we are just for calling out the truth and we're against the spin from wherever it comes. That's also important with these guys.
