The US Launches a Series of Airstrikes in Somalia
The US Africa Command said Sunday that it launched three airstrikes in Somalia and claimed the bombardment killed 10 al-Shabaab fighters. The strikes were launched in a remote area about 65 miles north of Kishmaio, which is a port city in southern Somalia. These were the first airstrikes that Africa reported in Somalia since June 1st. However, it's not clear if the command is reporting every US airstrike in the country.
