The State of Jazz Today
I think most of the young musicians are demoralizing mainly commercial music. Music speaks directly to our emotions right and for better that's for better for worse it can excite us for the good things and you know it can be used as propaganda right for the less good things I mean what do you think about the state of jazz today if that's not too grandiose a question? We're consumed with a rampant commercialism and a materialism that is destroying our human connections It's out front it's embarrassing it's just kind of open corruption and we have to get on track and we're long way away.
