The Conflict of Visions
Many of my patients have more of a constrained vision. They're like, okay, you know, I realize that the most likely outcome is that nothing's going to be different and they're sort of minimizers. But for patients that want everything, we can do everything. We just need to align care with patient's goals. And so there's the tension. The people who want to do everything, they have the industry backing but also many patients don't and that's the reality. So this isn't a criticism of cardiology per se, it's just an insight into clinical trials in general and how they benefit people outside of clinical trial settings.
