I never found it, honestly, very easy to have a clear cut theory of poverty. Neither liberal nor conservative theories swalling among economists captured the complexity of the kids abijith knew from the slum. The idea that it should come down to either not enough food or bad gens seems to me to be extraordinarily shallow.
