The United States Isn't an Island, Right?
The Bush administration declared Australia to be a homeland after 9/11. The Obama administration is trying to restore some kind of more balanced sion of globalism in which the united states is a stabilizing presence. But liberal imperialists, you kno, want to have their cake, can eat it too. They want to call their way universalism, despite the fact that it's built upon a sort of long, long histories of iniquity they also want to preserve.
