Psychopathy developed a reputation for being untreatable based on some papers that came out a in the late ah 19 hundreds. It's a personality disorder, and personality disorders are notoriously difficult to treat, but certainly not able. And especially if we can identify children who are risked for developing psychopathy, it is treatable, but it does require time and a lot of effort - which is unfortunate. The most effective treatment tend to be some combination of a training aimed at how parents respond to their children.
