The History of the Ottoman Empire

The Ottoman Empire ruled Anatolia and beyond for some 600 years. After it fell, the secular Turkish Republic was formed in 1923 with Mustafa Kamal Aditirk as its first president. We're joined by Istanbul-based tour guide Lali Sermon Aran to help us find evidence of the empire the Ottomans left behind.
