I'm Jaz Gulati and this Interference Cast, we're going to cover the topic of treatment coordinators. Is it right for your practice? We hear from Emma Yates, who is a nurse turned into a treatment coordinator. And a treatment coordinator, if you haven't heard of this term before, is someone who is kind of in between the reception team and the dentist, right? They've got enough clinical knowledge to discuss the pros and cons of different treatment and help the patient in their journey to find out what's the best treatment for them and also help them to pay for their treatment, how to finance it and answer those niggling queries they sometimes have and sometimes patients have to wait some time to hear from the dentist. But that treatment coordinator is a friendly phrase, right? They're not the scary dentist. They're a friendly face. They're an advocate for the patient. And I've seen over the past few years, lots of different practices adopt the treatment coordinator model. Now, I'm not sure if it's just a UK thing or a worldwide thing, but this is definitely becoming more integrated in dental practices. So if you're a principal wondering if this is the right move for you, or if you're maybe a nurse thinking, hey, you know, could I be a treatment coordinator? And today's topic is treatment coordinators of which you are for the past six years.
