Lsd 25 wasn't thought of as a recreational drug for another 20 years. It was sent to research institutes, universities and individual psychiatrists all over the world. When they start feeding it to people in yheur tests, graduate students sort of baby sitting these people, and they're witnessing all these weird things happen. And he's seeing enough so that he's thinking, wy thiss, i've never seen anything like this. I want to try it. But they had a rule that graduate students couldn't actually participate in the trials. So he basically got out of it as quickly as he could and volunteered for a trial. And it completely changed his life.
