Principles of the Benedictine Life That Are Potent for Evangelization
The first principle is humility. Saint benedict speaks about humility ten in his rule. The person of faith listens to a higher voice, a voice beyond his own voice. And that is humility. It's related to the opening word of the rule, which is schoolto listen. Faith fides ex aditu pulses. Listen. If you've been evangelized, you've heard the good news. Mind you, you have heard it.faith comes from hearing it's been preached to you,. and now you know what? My life isn't about me. It's about him.
