I don't think anybody in the book is supposed to be like particularly skilled or good and this actually gets into the thematic stuff that that we can either like break into now or or we can if it's relevant let's go for it later. I'm trying to think if they're who's the best character in the wire who starts as kind of a sloppy cop but then becomes kind of a more virtuous one does Carver do that?
