Start by understanding what they believe the product strategy is. You have to go out, do the discovery and fit it in on the side. Ask them if they feel like they're hitting those goals. Are you shipping fast enough to actually make all of this worth it? Is that a problem? As an organization's skill, the delivery cycle is going to be longer. It's definitely a thing that we all have to deal with... No founder likes that, but it's a reality.
