How Many Patterns Do You Put in a Drum Machine?
I'm not a big drum machine guy. I use them, but I've never been very good with them. So now I usually would do for sure two patterns to switch it up. But even now with the rhythm, what is really cool is the probability step situation as well. You basically can do a lot of variations in just one, just even one 16 step cycle. And then I would probably do a second pattern that brings in like a B part kind of situation and that's it.
