Creating Ideas Is a Choice, Is It Balanced?
When classical music, it's a hundred % how we perform the idea. I feel like as class musicians, we probably already have some biases around what we think are important. But when you start to create ideas, you're going to develop values around it. Is it balanced? For example, there a balance between space and sound. And then when you're improvising, that becomes one of the criterion that you apply to to that piece when you evaluate it.
