The Less Diversity in a System
The less diversity in a system, the more degrading it is to the ecosystem. All soils are approximately one part nitrogen, 11 parts carbon. Why aren't any farmers asking about carbon? What's far more important to the systems than nitrogen is carbon? Look at our native very ecosystems. They were very, a very low nitrogen system. You had the grasses and forbs expressing themselves to a much greater degree.
