Plato's Republic and the Statemen
In book eight, the Republic starts to crumble. It's kind of an expression of here in this material world, no matter how hard we try to build something perfect, nature breaks down and decays. And so I was really moved by this kind of necessary divine presence that fixes what the errant materiality of nature is always threatening to undo. In the universe, divinity will be there to be sure that the universe itself will be maintained in perpetuity.
