The Reactionary View of Punk

A lot of punks thought that punk was going to be more rock and roll than rock and roll, right? One of the first times that punk appears on a record, as far as I know, is the first nuggets nuggets compilation in New York in the early 70s. And he uses punk to refer to these bands that he's compiling from the late 60s. His idea is like, well, this was the true spirit of wild punk rock and roll. But no one is matter at that kind of music than the like house and techno nerds, right?
