There's a clear problem. There are some solutions that are working, yet we don't at least currently see these farming practices being taken up on the national or global level. So why do farmers stick with the more sort of traditional farming? I think a big part of the problem is that intensive agricultural practices are so heavily entrenched. They've been put there through 70 years of government policy and subsidy. And they've been reinforced by the teachings of every agricultural college and institution in the land. It will take a big dose of leadership from government, from corporations, from the UN, from farming bodies to get behind this new way"
