Elon Musk's Awkward Dislike of Mass Transit

Elon Musk revealed he's no great fan of mass transit. He said on stage at a Tesla event that good things must be somehow painful. The whole sharing space with other humans thing, it's kind of icky. I wonder if there's any sort of financial motivation going on here.
