The Priesthood in the Old Testament Israel

Leviticus 21 talks a lot about the qualifications for these guys. They have to descend from the tribe of Levi through the line of Aaron. If you were born into that, you couldn't choose not to be a priest. I think what is happening in these chapters is the Lord is kind of establishing the holiness and the purity of these priests who are serving in the temple.
