I'd like to take a word you used two or three times in that answer, which was the word lower. Can you just discuss why i object to that? I don't actually know how we can understand the world of many other mammals - they are very alfactory for instance. And so if you're asking questions about intelligence or consciousness of particular species, often i think we just go in completely the wrong direction. We don't understand enough about what it means to be that particular animal in the wild, or even in the laboratory. But we know certain things.
