The Hostility to Independent Moral Forces in Higher Education
The study of the humanities and universities is to help students formulate questions by which they can question assumptions. If you don't know how to ask the question, you can't begin to search for the answer. And I think that's partly why you see such hostility to independent moral forces, including religious forces. This is a very secular ideology that is an anathema to even the study of the humanities.
