There are a number of possible explanations for the difference between kolishovs reportandad the failed attempt to replicate those findings. Maybe it was originally a sloppy experiment, maybe kolishv primed his test subjects to react the way they did, and they complied. Another one is response bias. You know, this is why double blind tests are very useful. If the person administering the test doesn't know what hypothesis is being tested, it's harder for them to behave in a way that would bias the subject response in favor of it.
