The Unconscious Process of Creativity
I've always thought that we divide the world. So if you're really obsessed with certain thoughts or ideas, they do migrate into your fiction quite naturally. But making a story or these characters, I have to say it's a pretty unconscious process. You know, it has to feel necessary and insistent. And I don't know what they're going to do. Even writing essays, I don't always know what's going to happen.
