The Pros and Cons of the Enlightenment
The comet I think becomes at least in my mind becomes a symbol of a lot of the innovations and breakthroughs in this period. As well as attracting these kind of probabilistic you know analyses because in a sense there are a bunch of biblioballs flying around our kind of cosmic vicinity. The fact that their paths are kind of tractable by another field of mathematics that was emerging at this time also shows how far we've come.
