If he makes minimum payments, they will still be eligible for forgiveness and the rest of it. If she doesn't make it to ten years, they can apply that money to the loan. They now have this pot of money that they can use for something else. Do i think that she will last ten years and get it? The answer is, things are probably going to change. I don't know rob and his spouse, but just so many things change so often. And to bet on ten years, i would bet on things will change.
