The Arzmoree-Endy Book Review
The medieval Catholic Church's concern with death and helping people to properly prepare for death is very different from that of our modern culture. The more I study this, the more I realize how much there is in common really between the Church of the Middle Ages and the Church today. There's a lot of overlap with the challenges that we face and the opportunities that we have. One thing that has not changed fundamentally from the Middle Ages to the present is that there's a danger of focusing so much on the body that the dying person may end up neglecting the health of the soul.
